Producer

Our hens are lovingly cared for by our two daughters, Lucy and Amelia. The hens are Golden Comets and lay beautiful brown eggs with good shells and rich yolks. We also have one Leghorn who lays white eggs, which may be included in the dozen. They live in a spacious coop built to protect them from neighborhood predators, but they also have lots of room to roam in our backyard.

The hens eat 16% protein layer feed, along with soldierfly larvae, cracked corn, and lots of greens from our vegetable garden.
